I just saw this article about Patricia Araujo, a transsexual model who is a pretty big name in the Brazilian porn scene stealing the fashion show in Rio.
I've always thought that she was really stunning. She's one of a few Brazilian transsexuals that I can put a face to a name. She's been featured on sites like Brazilian Transsexuals and Shemales From Hell just to name a few and has been in numerous video productions.
I thought it was funny though how everyone is so focused on her being transsexual and NOT on the fact that she is basically a porn star. If this was a natal female model who was a PORN STAR I can't help but wonder what the reaction would be. Maybe it wouldn't be a big deal on the Brazilian scene but I have a feeling it would play out a little differently here in the states. Of course the whole thing would have played out differently if it were fashion week in New York. It will be interesting to see where her career goes from here. I wish her all the best!
